Why do what seems to be a simple project turn into a HUGE project??? We got a new recliner loveseat (which is so comfy, I want to live there!) to go in the living room to replace the two chairs that were there. We decided to make our bonus room off of our bedroom into a little reading room. The thought was (I thought) to just move the chairs up there and arrange it to be all cute and cozy!! Adam decided that since we would like to replace the carpet up there at sometime anyway why not take this opportunity to rip out the carpet, replace it with pergo flooring and get new book shelves!! Which I think will be nice, but now we have to go through all our crap up there, weed through books, and move a big ugly desk . So much for a simple project!!
We have gone through the books and stuff we need to get rid of. So last night Adam says so why don't box up all those books and get stuff ready so I can do the floors... I looked at him and laughed a little and said with the kids and the boy I babysit??? I think that is rather funny, because he has trouble getting extra stuff done when he's at home with the boys. I really wasn't mad or anything I just think it's funny when he says "Hey can you do this or that" When those things really require no children milling around!!!
But since I am such an amazing woman (HAHAHA). I put Mackeon down for a nap and put the other two boys in front of the TV to watch Dora and Diego and away I went to do his bidding!! Actually, I got a really good workout in lifting heavy stuff and making numerous trips up and down the steps. I think he'll be really surprised what I got done...I'll probably get in trouble for carrying some of the stuff down, but hey I can do it so I did it!!! So what at first I got a little ruffled about turned out to not be so bad and I managed, I'm sure to please my husband!!
Now I can justify napping in my new recliner this afternoon when the kids are in beds!!! I think the room will be really nice when we get it done and we'll be glad we did it this way!
